That's hilarious.
Trying to figure out what you were referring to was like playing "Where's Waldo".

Looks like it's a graphical representation of what was formerly known as the "frequent poster" list on the left side bar.

Security is privacy.
Our posts are now less secure because they are less private.

I'm considering the formation of an Occupy-DSLR movement or a union or something to protect our rights to privacy.

Did you hear that justin See Profile, we ain't going down without a fight!

Top-bar fame is very fleeting... they change quite quickly. Too short an RC time constant, probably.

I wonder if you have a content blocker that thinks it's an ad, or possibly some kind of other blocking or suppression setting that's keeping it out.

I also use SeaMonkey, and I don't see the new frequent users banner either. The only content blocker I use is NoScript, and on this site it is only blocking google-analytics (which I block everywhere).

However, if I disable "style" processing, I do see the frequent users banner:

That tells me that some css code must be responsible, but it is not compatible with the default SeaMonkey code. I don't really care if I don't see the frequent users banner, so I don't plan to troubleshoot it any further.

from someone who knows...

it is a random selection from the larger list in the about page of the forum. It'll probably change every week.

I like it too. I'm using an older version of SeaMonkey and it shows up with no adjustments for me.

The frequent poster list has been there for ages...and was graphical but you had to click on it to see it. Now it's on top. It changes rapidly. It used to be roughly based on longevity and number of posts.

Did any of you notice that other forum stats are gone now? I miss those. (Although I didn't look real often as I found it sad that this forum dropped its usual number one place (along with Microsoft forum as number 2) way down quite some time ago. But I did like seeing the number of members, etc.

I see the icons on SeaMonkey 2.33.1 on Windows 8 Pro.

This thread is full of images and is horrible looking for me. I can't read any of the thumbnails. I use "small" thumbnails but, as of today, all thumbnails are large on all forums. If I click on the link for "large" thumbnails next to a thumbnail in a post I don't get a large thumbnail, instead, I get a thumbnail SMALLER than the large blurry one that is default. I can read the smaller one though....but it claims it is a "large" icon and it isn't. If I click directly on the icon I get a separate page with a GIGANTIC image.

This has happened across all browsers while I was asleep and that includes IE 10 which, more or less, rules out some Gecko based extension that is doing something crazy...

Something odd changed with the forum coding.

Large thumbnails create a 600 pixel wide image with a "thumb600" version of the image.

Small thumbnails create a hard coded image 750 pixels wide, with the "thumb" version of the image. Since the smaller versions are 200 pixels wide, they get distorted when expanded.

[edit] It just got fixed. The hard width coding was removed on the thumbnail images.
