[Anveo] Different ring toneI have OBI200 with Anveo. On one anveo account I have two DIDs. Is there a way to configure different ring tone for each did? OBI seems to support two different ring tones, but I'm unsure if this can be configured if there's only one account to voip provider. |

Ring tones are assigned on a per voice service basis:
Voice Services -> SPx Service -> X_DefaultRing
The default is 1 on Ring Profile A for each of the four SPx services. |

Thanks. I'm aware of this. However I was wondering if there's any other way (trick) how have different ring tone based on who's calling or which DID is being called when all are under same account. Any chance to do this on Anveo or OBI? |

Any chance to do this on Anveo or OBI? The Ring Tones can be set at the adapter level ... regardless of which provider or DID is registered to the specific line (i.e., Line 1, Line 2) on the adapter. With the 2-line LinkSys PAP2, one can set User 1 and User 2 pages (different from Line 1 and Line 2 pages) to one of 8 Ring patterns on the Default Ring line. These User 1&2 settings apply to the corresponding Lines 1&2. The same applies to the to the 8-line LinkSys SPA8000. However the Default Ring line on this adapter appears at the bottom of the Voice L1 to Voice L8 pages under Ring Settings. |

You can use a 'legacy' SIP control to send an Alert-Info header, which will cause the OBi to ring the phone with a distinctive pattern (provided that your phone doesn't override it). This example gives a special ring when 'family' calls; in your case you would have the flow for the second DID specify the distinctive ring. The value of the Alert-Info should match the OBi's RingName for the desired Ring Pattern in the active Ring Profile. |

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. I'll give it a try. |

BTW we consider adding SIP Header option to SIP PHONE call flow widget as quite a few users were asking for it. |

I can not find 'legacy SIP' block anymore. Is there an alternative? |

I would be nice to have sip header with TRANSFER as well. |

you can probably create a call flow based from one of the old Call Flow templates which still have SIP Legacy widget and then change the call flow while keeping that widget in the flow. |

The way I have distinctive ring on my Obi Anveo setup is to use a sub account. On the Obi set the sub account to a different ringtone then the main one. Then send the two DIDs to the different accounts. I do it that way because I like TRANSFER but transfer don't support sip headers. |

I need the sub-account for something else and don't want to buy more. Guess I'll go with old template for now. To anveo : Please consider bringing legacy SIP back until you implement SIP headers in SIP phone and TRANSFER. |

Different ring tonesaid by Brano:I need the sub-account for something else and don't want to buy more. Yes that is a problem with the double account method. There is a work around for that tho that I also use some. Get a no cost Callcentric IP freedom account if you do not have one already. Program that in the Obi for the distinctive ring. Then use SIP URI or sip uri ring destination in TRANSFER to send the one DID to the Callcentric account. The sip uri for Callcentric is 1777xxxxxxx@in.callcentric.com. There is no cost to do it this way. I also have Callcentric's Pay per call plan and use them for backup. That does not happen real often though because most of the time Anveo works. The best would be for anveo to implement SIP headers in SIP phone and TRANSFER. |
