Recent change in routing

Hello,

Does anybody have any recommendations for how to get support over a change in routing? I live in Portland and have several servers in Seattle. The ping was 4-7 ms but is now 40+ (along with slower speeds). When I a tracert a few months ago, it was a direct hop up to Seattle, but now Frontier routes the traffic through California.

Here is a tracert:

Hope someone can provide a real answer, but one possibility is a change in Frontier's peering/transit. It looks like your destination is via NTT, and the traceroute seems to indicate that Frontier no longer has a direct NTT connection available in the Seattle area.

There may be some routing tricks going on along the Portland to Seattle route as well, related to the peak time slowdowns along that route. Maybe Frontier is trying to manage the load on that route until they can upgrade...

I received this response
said by frontier0:

Thank you for contacting Frontier FiOS Technical Support. After looking over
your trace route info I know what the cause of your issue. We are experiencing
a surplus of users in the Beaverton area, which is where your ping jumps, which
is causing our customers to experience slow down at peak hours. We are working
on up-grading this area to fix this problem. We understand how frustrating this
sort of issue is and we are investing time and money into upgrading our
infrastructure. We have a solution slated for install in the next two weeks.
