He's hurt. No news on what the injury is, but he's been hurt for almost 6 weeks. He's trying to play through it, but he's got not snap to his shot (which is normally a lightning-fast release). I'm guessing it's arm/wrist or his finger hasn't healed properly. |

2-0 Canucks end of the 1st.
If the Flames end up winning this series I think more offensively skilled teams like the Ducks and the Hawks will bury Hiller.

Crap refereeing may determine the outcome of the Hawks-Preds game. Too many men when Kane scores.

Preds win 6-2.... I must say Patrick Sharp was not only the best Hawk on the ice but one of the better players. Preds played without Mike Fisher and Shay Webber left the ice in the 2nd period. Nashville will need those two blokes back IF they are going to upset the Hawks. (Is it even really an upset based on their standings?). Cody Franson took some extra shifts on the blueline because of Webber's absence... And Roman Josi is one awesome kid on defense... |

Projected lines for Blues game 2 against the Wild today at 4:00om (Atlantic Time - SportsNet . quote: Forwards

Alexander Steen - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko
Jaden Schwartz - Paul Stastny - Patrik Berglund
Steve Ott - Marcel Goc - Ryan Reaves
Defense
Carl Gunnarsson - Alex Pietrangelo
Jay Bouwmeester - Zbynek Michalek
Barret Jackman - Kevin Shattenkirk
Goalie
Jake Allen
»blues.nhl.com/club/blogp ··· STL|home
Only change I would make would be swapping dmen, Robert Bortuzzo for Gunnarsson. Still irked the Note traded Roman Polak for Gunnarsson. Polak when he was teamed with Jackman made the opposing players a little timid when entering the Blues zone... Bortuzzo plays a lot more like Polak and is what the Blues need. They have plenty of finesse defense in Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester and Shattenkirk. |

Last night in the Ducks/Jets game the NHL's wonderful reffing show their best. Guy puts the blade of his stick in a guys glove....half spins him around. Right in front of the ref....no call. A minute later the blade of a guys stick brushes a guys arm and he's gone for 2.
I think what it is for me the fact if a player screws up you hear about his discipline. But we will never know if a ref gets a call and gets reamed out about a bad or non call.

That was a brutal goal to allow in OT ......not protecting the post and this series is over.
Why even play Ryan with the non effort he's putting in..........play someone who can contribute.
Looks like the Canucks and Sens will have early tee times next week |

We in Calgary are in wait and see mode. Every game is fun. Win or lose. We have to earn it. Considering where everyone picked Calgary to finish this year, the playoffs are "free money" as far as they are concerned. Vancouver on the other hand is showing all the earmarks of a team in decline, make it to the playoffs and then getting run out of their own building by a team that is younger, faster and hungrier than they are. However this series ends, I think Calgary acquitted themselves well. NefCanuck |

Karlsson is lucky he didn't get suspended for his dirty hit to the head of Nathan Beaulieu. |
