Need an alternative to voip.msVoip.ms stopped terminating in a country where I have lots of relatives, so it's time to seek out an alternative. I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me on an alternative... Main criteria: 1) Reliable North American service, I don't mind the $1/DID + 1c/min rate structure 2) Canadian DID's 3) Reasonable overseas long distance rates 4) Good choice of global servers Nice to have: 1) Similar tools, such as black lists, sub-accounts, lots of goodies offering PBX functionality 2) Cheap porting (I'd like to keep my numbers) Edit: Looks like the person who reported that voip.ms stopped terminating to the destination country was misinformed (most likely thought a temporary routing issue was permanent), but when I logged into my account with a softphone, everything worked fine. Looks like I'm sticking with voip.ms Thanks in advance for any tips + elaboration of the criteria! |

Not sure they will offer all the functionality you want unless you run your own PBX but give CircleNet.us a look.
Fantastic provider with amazing rates. |

I believe Anveo would meet all your requirements. Their pricing structure is different from VoIP.ms, but I expect total cost would be very similar. |

Why don't you keep voip.ms and open additional accounts with Localphone and Callwithus? |

For Cheap terminations, CallWithUs has been a winner......
We don't do much in terms of international calls though. |

Thanks guys. I may even have an account with Anveo that I was using for faxing only lol The country in question is Serbia. I might just set up another account for international termination, just gotta read up on dial plans for Gigaset bases Edit: I may have been misinformed. Just logged into my acct via softphone (since my sipphones are on their way to South America), and got it to ring. So the person who reported the issue to me may have misunderstood and thought it was a permanent outage instead of something temporary. |

That's odd. Does voip.ms terminate to other former Yugoslavia countries (Croatia, etc)? They still list termination rates for Serbia on their site... |

As noted, that was bad info given to another subscriber. I was able to dial both landlines and cell phones from my account. Just a caveat, use basic routing and not premium. |

Can anyone explain this? Maybe they should offer a third routing option, that is, "Both" which would place the call trying the account's default routing first and then the other, if need be. Thanks, |
