It's sad to hear that another vendor is going down the compliance drain.
I've bought a TRENDnet router a couple of years ago, after they've had a similar settlement with the FTC.
As my review says it, the thing was completely broken -- logged you out within 5 minutes when you were still editing the settings (as if you'd be accessing your home router from a public computer in an internet cafe!), had special JS to make it impossible for the browser to remember the random password it came with (ditto), and yet, surprisingly didn't even have any logout option, just the 5-minute timeout. I've returned it as defective, as it was unusable.
