[WIN10] Desktop Icons suddenly all small. Win 10Windows 10 My desktop icons have suddenly turned small. I've tried Settings, System, Display and changed scaling. Tried the Desktop Icons settings. Not really working. I tried disabling XPexplorer.com patch that formerly fixed the scaling issues from 8.1 to win 10 in the Task Manager Startup settings (formerly msconfig). Need info on how to get my normal desktop icon sizes back. Thanks. |

Re: [WIN10] Desktop Icons suddenly all small.Possibly:
Click Windows Icon | Settings | Personalisation | Themes | Desktop Icon Settings | Toggle "Allow themes to change desktop icons". Or even Restore Default and then set your theme that you used to set the size. |

Use your mouse pointer to highlight one of the desktop icon, then use the mouse scroll wheel, scroll up to enlarge the icons. Hope that this method works for you. |

This is a laptop with touchpad. I found that the scrolling option was unchecked in the touchpad settings. I don't know why. (So I don't know how the icons all became small). I turned that on and selected a desktop icon then used the right side of the touchpad to scroll up to enlarge the icons. that worked. However, after I log out after changing the scaling options in display (required), it changes the touchpad again and it does not retain scrolling checked. I can go back in and turn scrolling on again manually. It just won't save. |

In Win10 can you right click an empty area of the desktop and is there a "View" option with "Large", "Medium" and "Small" icons options? |
