New 5268AC Firmware 10.5.6.529454Last week I manually upgraded my 5268AC from the 171 firmware to 10.5.6.529428. I was just now looking through my gateways logs and found that it rebooted itself at about 1pm central time on Wednesday, and installed new firmware version 10.5.6.529454-att. I have looked through all the pages and I cannot find any visible changes from 428. I'm still on 6rd, no native IPv6 yet here. My issue with an airport extreme not performing DHCPv6-PD is still present (my 5th gen AEBS bit the dust so I had to swap in an old 3rd gen. Both are running the same firmware version. I'm working on finding and setting up a good openwrt/LEDE replacement router eventually). My 5268 is on a good UPS so it did not reboot because of power loss.
Anyone else seeing this new version? Noticing any changes? |

I did the manual upgrade to 10.5.6.529428 as well. Just got native ipv6 a day or two ago, but not a firmware upgrade. I'd guess 529454 just contains some bug fixes of some kind. |

Hey everyone, I just found another firmware server! I was going through the logs on my 5268 and found these entries, which list where the firmware was downloaded from: IMG_PARAM_URL: http://gateway.c01.sbcglobal.net/firmware/00D09E/10.5.6.529454-PROD/att_config.pkgstream

Note that unlike the previous firmware server, this server has directory listings turned off. You must know the exact URL and filename of what you want or you will get a file not found error. I have checked several older firmware versions by changing out the version number in the URL, and this server appears to have those as well. Unlike the old server that had just an IP address, this is running on sbcglobal.net which is definitely an AT&T controlled domain (my old DSL email is on that domain). Use this information at your own risk. It's probably better to just let your RG update automatically. I'm not responsible if you brick it. To manually upgrade, all you need is the 5268.install.pkgstream file from above. Go to » 192.168.1.254/upgrade and follow the prompts. Good luck. |

I have this new 545 firmware. My gateway uptime says 4 days, 10 hours, 35 minutes.... which means it rebooted somewhere around 2:00 AM on 6/12. That seems typical for a maintenance window. |

Ugh, you just had to post that didn't you XD
Now that the cat's out of the bag, the NVG5xx firmwares are under 001E46. I.E. for NVG510 http://gateway.c01.sbcglobal.net/firmware/001E46/9.0.6h2d21/nbxv9.0.6h2d21.bin and 589 http://gateway.c01.sbcglobal.net/firmware/001E46/9.1.0h12d19/nbxvu9.1.0h12d19.bin . I think the NVG599 is http://gateway.c01.sbcglobal.net/firmware/001E46/9.1.4h0d80/nbxvac9.1.4h0d80.bin but cannot confirm. |

I tried downgrading my NVG589 using the firmware at » gateway.c01.sbcglobal.ne ··· 2d19.bin and it stops the upgrade saying the firmware is invalid. |

That one is a rather old one, I just used it as an example. They may have added downgrade prevention in the newer versions. |

None of those are working either, which is why I said they might of changed the file names. All of the older 9.1.0h... ones are still working, but I can't find any of the 9.1.6 or 9.2.2 ones. |
