Security Product Vendors → CAUTION: AdwCleaner v7.0.2.1

CAUTION: It has come to my attention that the download link which points to AdwCleaner downloads a different copy than what was originally hosted on the server. Please be careful when downloading the update from the server. It's been modified. If you obtained it around August 30th you're probably fine. My copy was okay. However, please notice, if you attempt to proceed to execute a "Check for updates" within the GUI, it prompts you to launch IE (or your default browser) as it's detected an even newer version. The new version does not appear to have a Digital Signature, and it's still being reported as 7.0.2.1. However the checksum comparisons FAIL and the application icon is also missing. It's almost as if 7.0.2.1 has recently been replaced with a modified copy of AdwCleaner on their server which fails to function.

I executed it in a sandbox environment and something is definitely off with the program. Windows 10 will prevent you from opening this file too. Even after unblocking it through file properties. Virus Total claims it's clean and it may very well be... but it's not the correct application as it does not function. Just a warning guys.

Although the file appears clean the file structure has changed from the ORIGINAL GOOD copy.
