| No surprise to me I had been receiving snail mail from these crooks for many years, and I even saved some up to present to the Secret Service. The agent was very friendly and knowledgable about this, and went so far as to say that ALL business in Nigeria is crooked in some way. The Nigerian government is the most blatantly corrupt and dishonest government in the world.
Snail Mail, Fax, then e-mail. I now get at least five or six of these every single day. I dutifully forward them to the appropriate ISP, such as hotmail, msn, aol, etc., to have that user's account yanked, but of course, as soon as they send the e-mail they stop using that account anyway. (Some of them even spoof hotmail addresses).
Until the Nigerians elect (!) an honest government, this will go on forever. This guy wasn't the only one to lose 750 grand. There are other people just as stupid as he.
