Im guessing you ran one firewall at once? People have seen a decrease in speed when running Zone Alarm which I TOTALY HATE!!! Do not run Zonealarm with XP! Trust me... Tiny Personal Rocks -- ·.·´¯`·.·MAU108·.·´¯`·.· |

Can you prove this is any way? I have done tests so many times and have not noticed any change at all with or without my firewall up

 | reply to OLDb34tBoX ...was a rhetorical question gentlemen...
...dwnlding from any test site that is limited to the amount of users testing at any one time(usually 3) is totally useless, in my never at all humble onion. So is dwnlding MS' service packs. Any file that is obscure...
...dwnlding from a site that allows say 300 users at a time is more realistic. FTP servers give even better results. These speed tests show what "COULD" happen in a perfect world. We don't live in a perfect world. But, we could be getting closer...

That last one's a little low, but Cnet always is for me. Pretty consistant stuff though. Always the same results. |
