Internet 750 and 950 now available in FIFA communties

Tier 1 communities: 750/750 and 950/750. $140 and $150 base prices, $95 and $115 for 2 years with a SA.

Tier 2+3: existing 950/300.

FIFA is the new fibre billing/inventory/everything system. The migration is mostly done, but there are still some fibre accounts using the old system. It shouldn't affect the vast majority.

I see the 1000/750 but no 750/750.

Shaw's 300 (now 600/20) on a 2 year SA is $55 for the first 6 months and $105 for the last 18. $2220.
Telus 750/750 on a 2 year SA is $95 for 24 for a total of $2280. Unlimited transfer is included on 2 year SA.

The fibre footprint was 56% of the internet base at the end of last quarter and will be about 60% by year-end.

I guess I'm one of the people in the minority.
Any ideas when the migration is going to be complete for the rest of the stragglers?

Early next year. And it's mostly tier 2/3 communities left to be migrated, where 950 is already an option under the old billing system.

I'm not sure what tier I am, I just know that I'm not on FIFA (as least since last I got upgraded to 300) and I don't seem to have these new packages as an option.

Hi @ttvtech,
Is there a simple way of telling which billing system by looking at the monthly bill. I am just curious to know to which system I belong. I am on 300/300 fibre. Thanks

Are these fiber packages sustained symmetrical speeds? how much deviations have you seen in your results?

for the same price as the 300 you can get the 750/750, i was paying 55 for 6 months for 300 then the other 18 months at 110, my new rate is 95 for 24 months with unlimited internet.

Gonna call to get them to grandfather my unlimited data and also hopefully knock a few bucks off thanks to Shaw's promo

Total BS not to include Unlimited data by default in these packages considering these high speed packages can blow through a 1TB cap with ease

edit: It would take me 2 hours just downloading to reach their fucking data caps. little over an hour with full saturation on both sides. What a fucking joke

For sure you can. I called in and was an hour+ wait, so I did it online and will call when it's less busy to have them credit me loyalty discount again.

"I subscribe to the top internet plan available to me please throw in unlimited data"

Nothing special required when I asked

Hmm...

They can offer me the gigabit plan, albeit for more money than advertised to FIFA customers, but Oh well. I will pay the $95/month, but I'm not paying $135/month.

When I check my address I see 300/300 (which I'm on), 150/150, 75/75, 25/25 and 15/15. Any ideas what that means or when I might see higher? I didn't think 15/15 was even available on fibre?

Don't have an answer for you, but I'm in the same boat.
Occasionally the Telus account site seems to break when I check for upgrades, either giving me a 502 "bad gateway" error, or saying "PureFibre is now available in your area", which is odd considering I've had fibre for almost 5 years now.
