92% use 1.5 GB/mo; $7.90 / GB /mo

Interesting.

The article says 92% use 1.5 GB/mo.
Avgerage of 50MB / day?

Suggested $7.90 (Canadian?) / GB / mo for "excess" bandwidth.

My info is 1 GB / mo goes for $1.75 USD.

Ever wonder where they got the cap from? Well if I was an ISP I would take the $45/m CDN and match the bandwidth with the fixed costs and then tack on the vairable costs of bandwidth on top of that level. It's all about running a profitable business, who cares about the user.

But, now that I pay for each MB that I use I want Bell to come out with a simple program to monitor bandwidth, remove ads, popups, flash content and other useless crap, and to give me a warning if I am close to my monthly limit. If they do that then they have earned my trust back.
