W.O.W. now alternative provider for 48085 zip code

For those of you in the 48085 zip code, you now have W.O.W. as an alternative provider.

Got their blurb in the mail today, called and verified.

They are offering 3 tiers of service as follows:

Non CATV service
Value - 112kbps @ $34.95
Basic - 500kbps - mentioned, didn't ask price
Advanced - 1.5Mbps - $49.95

Bundled with CATV, $5 less with analogue, $10 less with digital.

Install and activation (?) free.

They have no problems with install to a site that has CATV supplied by Comcast.

Didn't ask about modems used or upload speed, not a concern of mine.

grasp the match firmly in your right hand, and move the colored end briskly across the strike strip - close cover before striking

Sounds like their prices are some what in line with what I would expect comcast's tiered plans to be.

Still, $35 for the low end without CATV? Seems a little high. Even with digital that still comes to $25 a month. Guess it is better than what these AOL/EL people are paying and will keep them from eating up their phone line.

Just wondering, why didn't you switch to WOW Cable? The picture is clearer and the service is better...
