JL75 posted : Thank you for your recommendations. Currently, my setup is HH4000 -> Qotom mini-pc running Untangle-> Gig switch -> WiFi 6 AP & PCs. Since I have Fibe 1.5, I would like to take advantage of it by replacing the mini-pc and the switch. I will keep an eye on the QHora firmware for a while to see if features are being added/fixed. I'm sure new multi-gig routers will be available in the near future. I could also build one and install pfSense or Untangle... I will report back if I decide to go the QHora way.

Anaron posted : It has poor Wi-Fi 6 performance at long range. Dong from Dong Knows Tech reviewed it and updated the review after they added 160 MHz wide channel support. Even with that, it didn't make a difference. Wi-Fi 5 range and performance seems to be decent. Here's the review: »dongknows.com/qnap-qhora ··· rt-range

I looked into getting it too and decided against it. The 2x10GbE WAN/LAN ports are nice; however, I needed good Wi-Fi 6 performance and went with the TP-Link Archer GX90 instead and I'm happy with it. I also wasn't 100% sure about how it would handle both 10GbE ports in use for WAN and LAN. Also, the Archer GX90 only has a single 2.5GbE WAN/LAN port. I wasn't looking to go beyond 940 Mbps wired with my Rogers gigabit connection.

If you're only interested in 1.5 Gbps wired, then a 2.5GbE switch is a more cost-effective option.

JL75 posted : Hi Everyone,

Has anyone looked into having the QNAP QHora 301W router connected to the HH4000 (Fibe 1.5)? From what I've read (and understood), the QHora 301W has two 10GbE BASE-T (RJ45) that can do 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M for WAN/LAN. Reviews are mixed as the firmware is lacking some features but updates seem to come out on a monthly basis...

Thanks!
JL
