Re: Help Anyone know what this file is ( updated)

OK

Try this, i WAS able to delete it. Go to Windows Task manager and Look for SNMP.EXE right click on the mouse and end process tree, after that program ends the TEMP folder is gone, the only way i can reboot and make the *.daty file not come back is by deleting the TEMP dir ....

What is SNMP.EXE ?, seems to be where the problem is.

Anyone ?

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an Internet standard protocol for managing disparate network devices such as firewalls, computers, and routers. All versions of Windows except Windows ME provide an SNMP implementation, which is neither installed nor running by default in any version.

Just curious Robert....did you ever install Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-006 ?
