Ashes, ashes, all fall down

It's looking like residential broadband will soon belong to the telco's and the cable companies exclusively. More and more independents are going down every week, Northpoint seems to be on its deathbed and Covad is only a little bit better. What a difference a year makes!

One of the first big ones to go was PhoenixDSL back in late October. Am I missing any from before? Flashcom (and PSN?) folded well after PhoenixDSL announced its acquisition by MegaPath.

Not to mention some large creditor recently listing Rhythms as a big credit risk. That'll hurt them for sure.
