Re: How much life left in Adelphia?

Unfortunately, the blame for slow rollout of broadband (of any type) in los Angeles has to be shared between all parties involved: City Council, Adelphia, PacBell/SBC, Verizon, DWP, etc.

For example, I was in a similiar situation to EmHinkes until recently. our area of Studio City was not broadband equipped until very recently. No Cable, NO DSL, NO wireless. Only satellite (if you can call that broadband). The problem? General slow movement on all fronts. For example, our RT was in place 12/00, and was finally powered on 3/02. I ordered DSL early may. Now, who's to blame in this case? I think it is shared between Pacbell and DWP.

My real gripe with Adelphia solely comes from a)the time I *ordered* Powerlink when it wasn't available, and they processed the order and b)the constant "It will be available within 3 months" I get from them. But are they solely to blame as to why Powerlink isn't available here? not really.
