Boo, Bazillion! said by Halo5: It still amazes me the state of DSL in this country. A year ago, things were very positive with the deployment of DSL, now it's extremely shakey. Not just a couple of big players folded, a lot of them did.
The business plans are all coming home to roost. While some honest providers are going under, it seems most of those going under are those who tried to match ILEC pricing with the delusion that it could go on forever.
And through this all, with the closing of ISP's left and right, and especially in Bazillion's case ("sorry, we don't give a hoot about you any more, we're gone -- fend for yourselves"), it's leaving a very souring taste in the mouths of those who have had or who were looking at DSL service. It's a wonderful technology, but its reputation is being sullied by the few who were just out to make a buck.

Welcome to the next two years of hell. -- =C=
