Re: Rogers Email with a Linksys Router

Depending on your email program, you might have to include the full path to the mail server...

If you go to the linksys home page and check the knowledge base (do a search for email and router) (the link is kinda long, or else I would have posted it for you). They can provide you with a sample....

its not the email program.. its the dns server he uses
the router also acts as a dhcp server and gives the computers ip's and dns server adresses
the ip's are in the 192.168.0.x subnet and the dhcp is 192.168.0.1 (the router) not the one asigned by rogers...
nico if u want u could try and configure ur settings not to use the routers dhcp...
u could put in ur ip as 192.168.0.2 and the gateway as 192.168.0.1 and for ur dns use rogers' dns server's ip...that way u could just put in pop instead of the full path
