Re: Any Oligations to COVAD?

Bazillion has basically released all subscribers to switch ISPs. If you currently have Covad, the best bet is to stay with them and choose another of their ISP partners or Covad.net (go to the Covad Safety Net site at covad.com for more info). Otherwise, you're going to have to go through the pain and cost of the DSL installation process all over again. However because of Bazillion's situation, you are no longer contractually obligated to stay with Covad or Bazillion. Good Luck.

Re: Any Obligations to COVAD?

I signed up with Speakeasy the day after I got "the email". They were not ready at all for the flood of customers they got when our fairly weak ISP took a dump. After waiting a few days on their switch list I popped off an email from their account control website. I got a response the next day explaining that my account was indeed hung up due to release from Bazillion however all I needed to do to get released was connect to a form on the Speakeasy website and give them my COVAD circuit number and some other information. No Bazillion contact required! (no B contact possible either...:P) Just letting you know you are not stuck. As for the price difference mentioned in other postings I am paying a measily $3 more for my plan than I was with Bazillion but I'm splitting it within my house so the bill is split as well. ....my $.02
