| Peer 2 Peer File Sharing Software Bant on Rogers? I was reading another site message board and a user posted some changes about Rogers:
"No FTP, Kazaa, Audiogalaxy or any programs that open ports which allows people to access your comp, therefore, ur comp acting as a server...
once they find out that u have a server running, u're disconnected without question and u have to call them. they will give a warning, which means u can use that program again, if u do so. You will be disconnected for a week."
It got me curious and I then ask where he got the info from. And he said Rogers phoned him yesterday asking about his download speed. He didn't notice the speed decrease until 2 days later that they capped him and then he phoned them and that's how he got the info. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Sounds pretty harsh if Rogers is doing this. |

Who knows, they are using every other dirty little trick in the book to save their bandwidth and limit the customer in every way possible on their UNLIMITED service.
