That should bring your line to a stop.
To change back from those numbers though, you'd need a format and reinstall ya know. Rogers will tell you to do that before they'll give you a new modem. In fact, they might tell ya to throw away your computer and use the telephone instead! |

 rixor join:2002-05-11 Scarborough, ON | reply to sbrook It took the rogers technician over an hour checking my lines, computer settings, ping times, etc. before he even thought of replacing my modem. He then took my old modem outside, testing it on his laptop and finally concluded that my old motorola was the source of my problems.
Then after that, he gave me an erikson modem that did not work. After half an hour of waiting and him calling his rogers buddies... he finally switched it with an RCA one.
Finally, after 1.5 hours of waiting, I get my modem replaced.
This was all after 8 months of complaining to rogers and getting replies about the problem being identified and a ticket being issued. I called and sent an email almost every week requesting updates and complaining more.
So basically, if you want rogers to replace your old modem with a nice DOCSIS one... it takes A LOT of work. |
