1400/320 speed results!I ran a few speed tests today, and it seems like both the upstream and downstream improved since the cap was in place... Don't know what to make of this, but I ran a few different speed tests, uploads also seem faster around 38-40KB/sec.

HiVolt ... you're lucky, you've had your upstream cap lifted! Goodness knows how or why. So, with greater upstream speed, your download will improve too. |

Its weird.... its so consistant its funny. Its not at the 365-375kbps upstream I had before, but its a helluva lot better than 185kbps is what i was getting. not sure how long its gonna stay, but i won't complain if it stays! hehe... |

Since you guys have lower speeds, it would be advisable to try runnign tests with the PROXY ON. |

Curiously, proxy on with lower speeds was even worse than with the higher speeds before I was capped. Now that I'm running DOCSIS, curiously, the proxy on results in slightly faster speeds! |

Yep I never go anywhere near the 10GB cap, and the speed is awesome.
PLUS, I don't have cable TV so they would charge me even more for cable internet. |
|

10gb cap with that kind of speed? Seems useless to me. |

Well it's not to me. I don't download boatloads of stuff, but what I DO download I don't want to wait for.
10GB really is ALOT of data. |

Not necessarily, suppose you need the speed to do the little that you do, and you won't go over the cap, I say take it. |

Slower speeds wont decreapse your monthly use, if someone downlaoding Red Hat Linux(1.2 gigs if i remember correctly) on the "Previous" rogers speeds they will doo it a little faster, with the current rogers speeds they will doo it a little slower (leaving the computer on for an extended time period). Both Same |

Sure, it doesn't use the speed to capacity ... but I hate download rigor mortis. When I surf or download anything, I want it yesterday. |
