Ritz8 join:2001-10-31 Young America, MN | I am not pleased... Yea i just got capped this morning...
But the is FREAKING BS!
Im getting 842/185 on my speed tests..There no way im paying for this..I want to be close to the 1.5/192 ...Im not paying 45.00/month to have this...Too bad i cant get AEI..
Anyways im calling them tomorow..I want higher speeds..I went from over 2mbps to this..Im cancelling.
BTW in game servers i was playing in b4...I got 100 pings..Now there 600-700..Theres no way im putting up with a ping so high..
Anyways |

Oh yeah, it was also mint when I "tweaked" my modem for a day. =] 2002-06-15 17:13:06 Speed test (nyc.speakeasy.net) 5228/361 kbps I'd bet some of you remember that.
Craziest thing is, I used to have 48ms in Quake3 before the infamous cap, and still have 48ms after the cap.

 | reply to Ritz8 Don't worry about it boys...
I'm getting some terrible speeds....pings that are HIGH as F##K and I'm seeing some nice packet loss

| reply to Ritz8 Hehe, who would be pleased about their speeds being slashed in half and the price stayed the same. Rogers figures this is a perfectly good thing to do, since they never guaranteed any speeds in the past. I told one tech that I was getting 300KB/sec downloads, and he screamed at me saying those speeds were almost unheard of on the Rogers network. So go figure. He nearly shit his pants when I told him that back in the Shaw days I routinely went over 1000KB/sec sustained speeds on huge files... It was so funny, this guy was quite the moron. -- Crunch for »www.team-discovery.com/ |

There has been a 50% decrease in the speed cap and a twelve and a half percent or $5.00 increase in monthly fees. |

I most definitely agree...I use a Tucows download as my test...This gives me a better idea of the Rogers Network.

your pings are the same because online games, especially on the q3a engine, dont push your connection to its limits the ping times to your phub, etc are what makes up your ping, and rogers didnt tamper with these... |
