This is on your 'new DOCSIS' modem?

Seriously, get your RF checked out.

rogers aint gonan fucken do shit about this
u call tech support they say they cant help u... they tell u 2 email tech support... u email tech support they have a fucken cut and paste script or sometin... u email them 200+ pings and speeds under 500kbps download and 100kbps upload they say its normal... this was back when their service was still 3000/384...
i checked the signal levels on the modem from the ericsson portal page... i asked some ppl they said my upstream power level was a bit high but it was still ok... the rest was fine... i even tried puttin it in my other room where the signals r way better and i was still getting the same ammount of packet loss
oh and even my digital cable went down last nite... its free and everything but still...

I hate to say this skillton, but you gotta put the pressure on them, they are the only people who have access to the headend controllers and such.

I know they can be difficult but they CAN help you, and ya just have to find someone who will. I have yet to have one customer whose problems I couldn't get resolved.

ya, rogers wont do nethin.... u can try to call all u want, bitch all u want... e-mail all u want (i set up a new e-mail with rogers just to e-mail them).... they send a tag or somthin... mabe if ue luck, ull see an increase for a day... then ur speeds will drop back down....

oh, ya, u do know, if they send a tech guy to ur house, ull prolly have to pay them... i think its smthin like $20-30/hour... my friend had a problem with his rogers... he called, they told him (when he asked how much) that it will pobly be 20-30, if they need to do ne WORK... ya right, like rogers knows how to work.... and if they cant solve it but changing CM (they'll prolly have 2 or three terayons, and some others with them) theyll try to c if its on ur computer only..... i think they have a laptop eguiped with some sh*it to test lines and stuff.... then they'll do a speed test on one of their computer that they brought... and if its ok... then they'll tell u theres nothing they can do... but u can mess with some settings and stuff to try to bring it up...

ya, and, what are the specs on ur compuer, ive notice with friends that some computers do work to well on hi-speed.... whats the CPU, RAM, HD space/size, Brand (unless u built it ur self, like i did ), NIC/USB, and all the other specs.... u might not be able to proccess the info coming to ur computer, and that be it.... if u post/pm me, with wut u have, ill tell u if its good enough for peak prefomence...

Man, tell em to give you a DOCSIS modem, my friend used to have the crappy motorola and he had the same BS as you, but he asked for a DOCSIS and got 1 within 3 days, and now he pings 6ms to his default gateway.

You know... I had the same problem with you as i suddenly felt very lag so i restarted my computer in order to re-connect to the internet. However, it came up that i couldn't even access the web and at last i gave up; the time was around 12:30 to 1:00 am...Anyway, i woke up at 7 am and the internet worked again! I guess roger's server was down or overload at that time!
-> Just curiousity
(Q) If rogers start implementing the transfer caps like HSE, are u going to stay with rogers cable?
*I wish there are more competition for cable internet service provider because rogers suck.
