Then they get tested and set out to people again. So it doesn't hurt them that much. Everyone will get a new modem at some point but I am in no rush to get one

But it costs money to roll a truck to your house to swap the modem, it costs them money to have the modem tested, repacked and shipped. All these things add to the cost of providing service.

my motorolla cybersurfr is used foh sure!!!
i can see it has been used, it was pretty dirty
and the sticker was falling off
but heck, i have a great connection with it
soo no problemo!
