It depends on many different factors, u can see the tweak page in this website for the formulae of rwin. or else u can ask the expert in the board of Tweaks for help. They are very nice.
For me, my rwin is 32120 (-_-). My speed results were from
(download) 500 to 1600
(upload) -1500 to 600

Sonicool, you should try something aroudn 18750. My connection ranges from 1200-1400 download, and 190-220 upload. when you say the person should ask the experts, thats not always the right choice, sometimes coming to fellow rogers' customers can give you a better feel of what you should do, to see where everyone is at, with the different rwins that they try.

Ok! I will try the rwin that u suggest..i will compare my results..(-_-)! But, the fact is that, everyone has different rwin depends on your ping,etc... Even we use the same ISP, but our pings are different (-_-) due to the fact that we live in different areas(Distance to CO). Also, if u use Win 98 and Win Xp, your setting would be different. I forgot the exact formula..but it is something like advertisd speed*1.5 * ping (sth like that)...Cable is unstable, so it is hard to get a good rwin. (All the things I previously mentioned may not be 100% accurate, so ...)

Sorry if u think that my arguments are wrong...My point is that..experts have more experiences than us, but may not be 100% correct also. By knowing our tweak setting,etc..they should know what the problem are. Coz, our problem may not only due to RWIn, other things can cause a problem also. But, in fact, it would nice if u try to ask both (experts, and roger users) in order to get a better result.

~ If u have the oppunity, why don't u try to ask other experts? (-_-)!
~ GOOD LUCK! (-_-) !

Something is wrong with your line sonicool. akwn, is that an improvement for you?

2002-07-28 00:02:36 EST: 1299 / 164
Your download speed : 1299738 bps, or 1299 kbps.
A 158.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 164001 bps, or 164 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

That's what I get with a rwin of 18870

OMG! you're setting it at 18000 ??? thats WAYYY too low. Broadband rwin settings should be set at least 66000 to ensure good download speeds. Rwin doesn't affect uplaod speeds at all. my rwin settings are around 150000 and im getting at least 2500kbps on the speed test.

No improvement! I used to get 1500/380 on average (@ non-peak hours) but after i changed it..it was wrost than before, only getting (1000/360). But, on average, there are not much differences (around 100). I guess it depends on the pings...if higher pings, higher rwin (mine=32120) is better; lower ping, lower (yours) is better. Maybe, I am using Lancity, so i have higher pings and that 32120 is better for me.

hmm, I set it at 18870 because I have low pings. I would set it lower, but I don't feel like it, I'm getting ok speeds now, and before when I wasn't capped, I would get a 2200/380 - 2700/400 connection. Now I am capped, I'm screwed.
