| some inside info Some years back in the beginning days of cable internet before @home came into existance many local cable facilities were channelling entire cities with as little as 2 T-1's (3Megabits). It was a sham. Jones cable was cutting contracts for commercial use that were not even enforcable. packet loss was often 100% during the day. Funny thing. They had fiber running to most buildings yet everyone bottlenecked at the mercy of 2 t-1 circuits. Its a shell game that is probably being repeated once again in this case. |
