Sound of SilenceHello Berkley my old friend...
I see the server's down again...
Because my cache is slowly depleting
Lost it's lunch while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
and the lines were silent..
In restless stores I shopped alone
Narrow streets and parking zones
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I'd Pay a dollar for good old Broadband
When my Lines were cut by the flash of an ignoramus
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking on their cell phones
People hearing about no-fly zones
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Because the lines were silent.
Fools I said you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the Internet they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sound of silence
I really couldn't butcher it too much at the end, it kinda fit anyway. oh no I got an idea for another one from this. "Silent Pipe. Holy Pipe. All is calm... hehehee"- FM
