Canada | Ever though of switching ISP's? I have been thinking long and hard about switching to AEI in september to give them a try. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I have to buy the modem for something like $200.
Has anyone else thought about switching? Any reasons you have/ have not?

I would love to switch from rogers but there is no where to go in my area, I had bell sympatico for a while but that was a total nightmare! |

I haven't really thought about switching because I'm too busy (or lazy) to look around. DSL is available in my area so that would be a possibility. What are AEI's packages and prices? |

Well I'm moving soon, I was going to sell my DSL modem, but then I said no, let's wait and see if its available in the new house that we are going to get.
rogers connection is fine, but I want a faster connection for $5.00 more , or similar connection for a cheaper rate.

I'm definitely switching to DSL (a provider with no caps such as THT) as soon as possible. IMHO, Rogers is going to lose a huge amount of customers to small DSL providers once they start imposing bit caps/transfer limits in January - February.

If you had Bell Sympatico then you should be able to get an alternate provider. Check out »www.canadianisp.com and select Ontario, then your city and type of service or price or both and search you should come up with a few choices.
