hmm...voice and data with sprint dsl?

okay, while i was waiting for a tech support person to help me with an issue today, i was chatting with the sales rep. about the business dsl offer for $129...yeah it is the same setup that covad has with other isp, she said something about voice included with the package and being able to send/recieve faxes. how does that happen? i thought the voice portion went away with the demise of ION...which brings to mind another question, how do i get a dial tone with the dedicated pair i have now with sprintbiz dsl?

If they are offering voice with the new bizdsl, maybe I can get my old job back.

Unemployed since 10-01 (I don't count contract work)

I think the rep just doesn't know what the hell she is talking about(which shouldn't be that big of a surprise). She probably just meant you can use the phone and fax while on line.

.....With "ADSL", You will be "Sharing" a Loop or Telephone Line. "Sharing" meaning "Voice shares with Data" With "Sprint ION", You needed a "Dedicated" Loop or second Telephone Line to support the Bandwidth. I think "SDSL" requires a "Dedicated" Loop but I could be wrong. A "T1" is supposed to be a special "Data" Cable(sort of like Cable TV) not a standard copper wire that is used for Telephone Lines.

A T1 is delivered over two pair of "standard copper wire that is used for Telephone Lines".
