| Am I on the right track? Wireless Network. I bought the SMC barricade 3 port wireless router for $149.99 after mail in rebate. but the price isn't important. I connected it, and it wouldn't connect to the internet. I called rogers, and said that i switched the computer with the internet and it wouldn't connect. They said there is a work order to release my data within 24 hours. am i on the right track? -- Catalouge Ordering - 1-800-EARS-234 Online Ordering www.ears.com |

| I am always astounded that Rogers tech support has to issue a ticket to do essentially basic maintenance level things like clear the arp entry for your line.
There are lots of things that they should be able to do as support but cannot.

| As far as I know the level 1 techs can clear the ARP table. They've done it several times for me while troubleshooting over the years... As for the router issue... I've tried 3 different routers on my Rogers connection, each worked flawlessly when the MAC address was cloned into it. I am currently using a Linksys BEFSR81, 8 port model. -- Crunch for Team Discovery! Also visit www.ihaterogers.ca and Planet MADtv |

| reply to corster I reset the router to factory settings, did the manual setup, cloned my MAC address, unplugged my piperider, plugged it back in, set up WEP, and it's working great. -- Catalouge Ordering - 1-800-EARS-234 Online Ordering www.ears.com |
