i need help..i want to know, if there is any way of getting my modem to go faster, like when i try to look at images, they take so long to just look at, and i can't download anything except for zip files. and I have a Terayon modem. and i've called the tech help line, and they didn't help me.

i did that, but it takes so long, and after a while, it says I have to reload the page to start over again, and theres a link to do it manually, but i can't cause I can't download exe files, it either takes to long, or it doesn't work |

The only problem there is ping stability. Those jumps to 50+ms or * when the other two on the line are in the 20s is a little odd. |

Probably high packet loss on your line.
You really need to run some tests like the DSLReports Line Quality test. |

GET THE SERVICE PACK 1 and it incorporates JAVA!!! Microsoft was sued by Sun technologies, thats why they didnt host Microsoft Virtual Machine for downloadiing pleasure.... But the SP1 fixes that |

It means that data sent to your machine doesn't get there. If there are enough losses, you get incomplete web pages for example, or ftp transfers abort and so on. |

try just turning off your proxy settings. In IE, go to Tools->Internet Options. Click on the connections tab, then click on LAN Settings. Remove any check marks in here, and just close everything down. |
