Now, I'm not going to say it's not partially my responsibility, I did agree to download and install the software, it's just that I can not justify at this time paying for another product that could open a door for pesky little problems into my system and cause havoc. FYI, even with a software firewall and a virus scanner it still couldn't prevent this crap from getting in. by the by, for those who care, the name of the nasties was W32.LITMUS, trojan. It's especially pesky for WIN ME and WIN XP as it and I'm sure plenty other trojans can reside in the system restore files. Turning off System Restore before eradicating the problem helped!
