Universal, for example, plans to issue a unique code number with each CD copy of Bon Jovi's new album Bounce. This will provide access to a web site with information on priority concert tickets, as well as previously unreleased tracks.
This is not going to work.
Public Goods: goods and services that cannot readily be provided by markets, either because they are too expensive for a single individual to buy, or (this is the important part) because if one person buys them, everyone else would use them without paying.
If one person gets those tracks then they can put them on a p2p network, causing this idea to go down hill. As for the info on priority ticket info: these people are going to tell their friends (human nature) and/or this person could put it on the net or one of their friends could. Yet again the idea is shot.
as for the super glue: I say take some nail polish removal and get rid of the glue on the head phones, then hook it up and record it. Then re-attach the headphones and re-glue.
screw drivers may not work as they may just put glue on the screws too or make a specia version of the player without screws.
