Simple way to get around copy-protection

Why not just hook up the CD-Out to the audio-in on your sound card and play. Seems like the simplest solution to me. Of course... the RIAA might decide to outlaw audio CD-Players altogether saying its just another way to copy songs to a computer. You know what, they'll probably ban tapes because a cassette player still has an audio out that can be connected to a computer. You know what, I think the RIAA should go back to selling good-ol vinyl with its superior quality. Then you see the sales drop and the RIAA starts complaining about how vinyl is contributing to online piracy. Maybe the RIAA should just cut our ears off... but they'll just blame the drop in sales on piracy again. Boy their smart.
