Re: HERE IT IS CINDYREDHEAD REPORT RE: Registry Tweak Thanks for all that work Cindy. Very cool. One thing you mentioned was that the files were not compressed. Actually you uploaded mostly highly compressed files (MP3, JPG and MPEG) and at least one uncompressed text file. That's a good thing.
So far I haven't been able to duplicate the findings of Cindy, Sandy and others, and I won't be able to really get into this anymore at least until the weekend. I am wondering why I can't duplicate these tests though, so you can bet I'll be trying.
One thing I would like for folks to try, if they haven't already, is to time the results with a stopwatch rather than using a computer based program that could feasibly be rendered inaccurate by a change in the way the socket is handling the data. It looks to me that the email upload tests were done that way, but it would be nice to be sure.
If anyone is as serious as Cindy was about thoroughly testing and needs an FTP site to upload to for testing, drop me an IM and I'll set you up.

Would the timer in WSFTP be considered accurate? If so, that's how my results were produced. If not, I don't mind re-doing them tonight.
