Re: Poll : What Heatsink Do You Prefer I run DC projects, mostly Seti on 10 XP boxes, most mildly overclocked. My favorite hsf is this one -»www.nexfan.com/29/299.htm?850 It's all copper, mirror finish bottom (no need for lapping!) and has a 70mm fan running 5k rpm's. Copper clip that works well, has a screwdriver clip on each side, invaluable for all the different boards I run.
I like it because it's the best hsf that $18 can buy. Keeps the mildly overclocked boxes with 1.85 vcore under 50C with board temps of 37C, room temp 82F. Also keeps my blades in the outside storeroom 52C when the temp in there hits 100.
For a good hsf for little money, this one can't be beat. I'm a stickler for budget stuff that performs well... Thanks to the people here, notably sjohnson for recommending this hsf a while back!!! I have the same one, its a great heatsink, and an even better price.
