Should I hold off on canceling? (covad)

I'm under contract with Flashcom till December or January for the IDSL 144 at $50 a month. Just had cable hooked up (just became available) with some incredible speeds for only $30 a month. I'm definatly going to stick with the cable.
So the problem I have is should I hold off on canceling flashcom and having to pay the early cancelation fee to wait it out and see if Flashcom drops all of us Covad users after the courts are done? Anyone have some guesses/theories/ideas? I don't have a problem paying the cancelation (though it would have been nice if I was told I was going to be under contract to begin with) as the service has been problem free once it actually got up and running (that was the pain).
Any input would be appreciated!

Try to hook up with someone like dslturtle, or call in. They will cancel you for free. That's what they told me, at least.

sorry time's up, I am no longer there! Call up, let them know you are not comfortable with the current situation. Make sure they (Flashcom) at least stop billing you, even if they cant turn you off (last I heard Covad was ignoring Flashcom)

...........the end

Maybe 40 people. As you can see on this board even the head of the NOC is gone. The people left are there till the Covad situation is sorted. Then Flashcom will be called Axcelerant, or at least use it as its business plan.

This isn't completely accurate. Axcelerant was a privately held company that has been around for 20+ years, moving from line testing equipment to where we are now, deploying Private and Virtual networks for large telecommuter networks. We were acquired by Flashcom in mid 2000 and as all know FC went bankrupt. As part of the bankruptcy we purchased ourselves back and have continued on. We have no ties to Flashcom or their debt any longer and remain a solidy company with plenty of financing.
