| Thanks for the Heads Up. I'm hoping they fixed the resource problem in WinME. If they did, all I have to do is find the time to configure a whole new set of rules. -- Dog and Butterfly |

It should install, then, with your beta 2 ruleset in place. Just in case, be sure to back up C:\PROGRAM FILES\Kerio\PERSONAL FIREWALL 3\kpf.cfg (or wherever you install it, if you use a non-standard directory) to a safe location before uninstalling the old beta, and, if necessary, you should be able to salvage it by stopping the firewall service, placing your bakup in the correct directory, and restarting the computer... do NOT try to replace the file "on the fly," by overwriting it while the firewall is running; the rules in memory will overwrite the conflicting ones on disk, and you'll revert back to the default set... happy beta'ing... -- Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together. |

Putzo @customer.telesp.net. | reply to gwion After dumping Beta2 on the same day I installed it (crashes and more crashes), I must say that this one is going very smooth on my Win98.
It just crashed once after the first reboot, but everything is going fine now. And all the new features are great!
Btw, anyone knows if this new version will continue to be free? I have a feeling that it wont. |

w0go.O join:2001-08-30 Springfield, OR | KPF3 Beta 3 kicks some serious ass. It's very fast, stable, and they really worked on getting most of the features working. Good job Kerio. |

| Ditto tm2. The administration console is excellent. [text was edited by author 2002-10-02 08:05:57] |

 | reply to gwion I have noticed in beta 3, in the Admin Console, under Filter rules, the headings for Application is now the first column instead of the last. Any one else notice this? -- I used to know all this stuff! |
|
 | Sir Raleigh
Same here and aren't the directional arrows new too in beta 3. Anybody else having problems with column headings changing position. i.e moving application header to the end, reverts back to the front again after reloading console. Weird

 | reply to Sir Raleigh Sir Raleigh,
One really nice thing about this new version is that you can move the heading columns around to where ever you want by simply clicking and holding the column you want moved and then dropping it where you want it to go. Mine is set up now so that the first column is for the check box then application and so on. Whats nice also is you can resize the columns to be smaller or larger based on your preferences.
BTW: Thank you gwion for the heads up on the new Beta 3. Its working great so far! |
