Yeah they have to be on the same MOBO.

There is no way at this time that I am aware of for sharing a HD to boot and operate more then one MOBO.

I guess the physical movements of the disks would kinda not go to well when one Cpu needs 1 thing and the other CPU needs something different. Bad suggestion on my part.

Actually, it's not a bad suggestion at all. IBM is currently working on or has released some hardwaare that will do just that. It was discussed here a while back, but the consensus was that if you had a hdd failure, not only would 1 box go down, all the others would, too. It's interesting, though.
