Dreaded 02b2 errorHi, when I go to boot up I get 02B2- incorrect drive a type error. I had this problem about 2 months ago and it just came back. I restored the reg., set the Bios to default, reset the NVRAM and made sure the floppy is set right in the Bios. I have the latest Bios . The floppy drive and computer is running fine.Im thinking of flashing the Bios again. Any other suggestions? Running Windows 98. Thanks T.C. |

Have you tried replacing the floppy cable? Might be a less-than-perfect contact at one of the connectors.
If that doesn't help, I'd try plugging in a new/different floppy drive. Even though it seems to be working there could be something flaky going on with it's interface during boot. |

Jefe,I disabled the floppy drive in device manager rebooted then enabled it. Rebooted and the problem has gone away for now. Thanks for you input though . T.C. |

Good thinking T.C.
Not sure what that works....but it often does. Hope your problem stays fixed.
