The faulty 7004FW is soon to be on it's way back to SMC and my old reliable 7004BR is back in it's place.

Adelphia deprovisioned my cable modem, which cleared up the problem, then a support technician called me and worked with me to get it working again. SMC sent me new firmware which they claimed would fix the issue. It did not.

The SPI firewall is turned off now!

7-10 people in bethel park pa all coming down with routeritis in the past 3-4 days....

wish they would ackowledge it at least :) :(

for those who are having it...... IT WILL eventually get a ip that works if you keep restarting/powering down the modem with the pc and router off..... may take 50-60 restarts and a wasted day out of your life but it can be done.... just make sure you have it on a battery backup till this problem is resolved :(]]> http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,4866703 Wed, 30 Oct 2002 04:26:45 EDT
