
| Downloads stop. Thank you for your replies. I got through to tech support today and was told that three of the Stlouis routes were being dug up for repair and would not be completed until Friday or so. Therefore I am being rerouted and this is why I cant download. I dont understand that if dowloading pages is still possible. I am using Enternet 300 with a 5260 Efficient Networks, inc. modem with Windows 98 2nd edition on a kingston network card. Today I tweaked my RWIN settings and it got worse so I reverted back to my old reg. Then ran the tweak and speed tests but 602/125 should be alright at least it doesn't explain to me why I cant download consistently. Today was the first time that I have been able to but only once. | Ok, I hate to be the one to break this news to you, but the problem is likely to be on your end. We see someone with this complaint about once a month. I suggest you read through this thread of the last report of this. The one before that involved a driver conflict between the NIC and a DVD card. Unfortunately these problems are difficult to troubleshoot but it can be done. If you have a second machine that you can use to test your connection, it will help to isolate the problem to your end. |

 Anon | ...and I felt really, really stupid cuz typically the first thing I do is try a different PCI slot. But, I was having to troubleshoot it 5 minutes here, 20 minutes there... So, thinking I already had, I moved on to other things. A week of frustration for naught. At least I realized it... |

| Pooh, I am just glad that you were able to find the problem and even happier that you came back to let us all know the resolution of your problem. Your experience helped fbourbon fix his problems very quickly. So both of you now have a working system when others have taken months to clear up the same problem.
