The other major problem will be the one bad apple syndrone.......Which will basically be one moron start pumping spam through the host, which will look like its coming from the poor guy that is giving service to everyone.
Or maybe something far worse then spam. My access point isn't always on, but for a long time, when it was on, I left it open. That is, until I read a news thing about the FBI(?) tracing some bas***d's IP and busting him for kiddy porn. Started me thinking that if some slimeball in my area was using MY connection for that type of activity, guess where the trace would lead? WiFi at my house is now locked down.
