Re: @home Frisco TX OH NO packet loss from hell

@home could be having routing trouble. Usually with packet loss that large, the ping is large as well. You've probably tweaked before, but run the Tweaks test with "verbose" checked. You might be able to change a settings to help control the packet loss.

@home and 1400 MTU????? Did you lower it? You are always on so it could be 1500, but I've seen gamers as low as 1100.
Are you using the @home software of proxy? What OS?
Pings are nice and consistant in a tight group, so I don't think it is there. Rwin looks good for those pings also.

I don't know why, but gamers claim a low MTU helps with pings, I tried it and it doesn't work and it slows your line down.

Your MTU should be 1500.

Use DrTCP to change your MaxMTU to "1500".
I'm you are getting packet loss, you should lower your RWIN since it helps cut down on it.
Try putting it at "16876" with DrTCP - hit "tab" - click "apply" then reboot your machine.

You should also uninstall all @home software since it really slows you down as well.
