It says above ------------------------------------------------------ AT&T Comcast has announced rate hikes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oregon, Indiana, and many other markets. The company recently announced six to thirty percent (depending on your package) hikes in the San Francisco Bay area as well. These customers are also considering satellite services (also see companion article). Particularly hard hit are customers who rent their cable modem. They now face a $14 hike, bringing their monthly total for high speed service to $60 per month. ------------------------------------------------------
But, if you click on the link to open the article for Indiana, it says this in it:
------------------------------------------------------ Rates for other cable services such as high-speed Internet and phone service over cable will not change at this time, according to Gomolka. ------------------------------------------------------
From what I'm getting is that there is a big confusion between AT&T Comcast Cable TV costs, and AT&T Comcast High Speed Internet costs.
Case in point above. It says "Particularly hard hit are customers who rent their cable modem. They now face a $14 hike, bringing their monthly total for high speed service to $60 per month.", yet the article it links to right above that says that Rates will not be going up at this time? Why don't those two statements match? Are rates going up or not?
Why can't everyone be on the same page. I would think that Greg Gomolka who is the AT&T Broadband government affairs manager for Northwest Indiana would know about the $14 hike that was stated above. If its not true, then why does it say that? Or, does Greg really know about it for the folks in Indiana, but choosing NOT to tell them "at this time".
Things like this make me mad. Why can't they just come out and say it like it is. Everyone in the end would be much happier with them. -- ======================== --Brian Plencner E-Mail:saursesCancer@attbi.com Note: Kill Cancer to Reply via e-mail |
