They try to turn you back, offering you discounts and whatnot, but I would put my money someplace else rather than taking a shorterm discount from them and helping them screw people with my support.
I have had Direct TV and DirecTV DSL in Jacksonville for about 2 years now and had my order in to DTV for a upgraded dish for local channels the day they came on. It was delivered and setup in 4 days. There sprouting up all over the city after the problems with ATT.
What really impressed me is the rollout by DirectTV for the local channels being opened up here. They brought in installers from Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia to make sure this is being done smoothly and quickly and at the same time the Main Office calls in during the installation to make sure everything is on the up and up.
Price for DirecTV Plus and Local channels is just 39.99 can't beat that with a stick and not ONE PRICE increase for the channels or DSL in over 2 years !
