Having the cover off your CPU, as I discovered, can also cause problems.

With this device you can put the ATA anywhere in range of an accesspoint. It is the only "wireless ethernet card" I know of that does not need a computer. You plug the ATA in and go wherever, even outside. You know I guess you could even hit "hotspots" like this. Are you using D-Link DWL-810 with ATA-186 or was that just a suggestion? In any case anyone using this or similar device please send in your comments.
